Warehouse Foreman
Duties
Under the supervision of the Warehouse Operations Supervisor, the incumbent provides daily work guidance and instructions to more than 20 warehousemen. Selects work crews required to accomplish daily taskings to include delivery, receiving, storage, and inventory functions as required. Assists supervisors in the selection of furnishings and appliances for distribution to over 200 homes in the greater Cairo area. Ensures items returned or received at the warehouse are properly stored and protected to prevent damage. Assists in the identification of missing items that may be located in the warehouse and in selecting items for disposal.
Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements:
EXPERIENCE: One year warehouse experience is required.
JOB KNOWLEDGE: Experience with identifying proper safety procedures in loading and unloading furniture and equipment. Determine capabilities when lifting or carrying heavy loads. Knowledge of furnishings and appliances carried in stock.
Education Requirements:
Completion of elementary school is required.
Evaluations:
LANGUAGE: Limited knowledge (level II) in speaking/writing/reading of English is required. (This may be tested).
Fluent (level IV) in speaking/writing/reading of Arabic is required.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must be able to operate a forklift after proper training and be able to supervise and provide work direction to a large number of warehousemen. Must be able to perform moderately heavy work and lift heavy objects up to 60 pounds, with or without the assistance of elevators. (This may be tested)

Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Mission in Cairo, Egypt may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.
For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.
The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the Human Resources Office.
