Hitachi Rail is Hiring – Accountant (Outsource Contract) in Cairo, Egypt
Hitachi Rail is expanding its finance operations in Egypt and is now seeking a highly skilled Accountant under an outsourced contract to support financial reporting, tax compliance, AP/AR processes, and monthly closing activities.
This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and hands-on experience in general ledger and taxation.
⭐ Job Overview
The Accountant will handle end-to-end accounting activities including e-invoice booking, employee expenses auditing, tax settlements, accruals, and fixed financial reporting tasks to support the company’s operational excellence in Egypt.
This role is ideal for candidates with experience in the construction industry, strong SAP knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple financial functions efficiently.
📌 Key Responsibilities
Book supplier e-invoices and follow up on Goods in Transit
Audit employee expenses and manage employee advances
Record intra-group invoices and associated tax entries
Monitor Letters of Guarantee (LG) for reduction and renewal
Follow up subcontractor insurance contributions
Monitor AP balances and maintain accrual sheets
Manage petty cash
Prepare WHT & VAT reports and quarterly/annual tax settlements
Support monthly ERP closing activities
Assist auditors during year-end financial statements preparation
Provide data to tax advisors during inspections
🎯 Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (English Section preferred)
5–7 years of experience in GL, statutory accounting, and tax
Previous experience in the construction industry
Solid knowledge of AP, AR, cost center allocation
Familiarity with SAP ByDesign
Excellent command of English
Strong analytical, organizational, and reporting skills
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
