Account Manager – ChampionX (SLB) – Cairo, Egypt
ChampionX, now part of SLB following the acquisition, is seeking an experienced Account Manager to join its Cairo team. This role is ideal for professionals with deep expertise in oilfield chemicals, production chemistry, and technical account management within the Oil & Gas sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new customers.
Achieve annual sales targets and support strategic account planning.
Manage and optimize the use of oilfield chemicals such as PPD, scale inhibitors, corrosion inhibitors, biocides and demulsifiers.
Conduct system analysis, interpret field and lab data, and provide technical recommendations.
Support chemical development, laboratory testing, and field trials.
Monitor inventories and ensure product availability at site.
Provide accurate monthly forecasts and contribute to annual business reviews.
Collaborate with SMEs and technical teams to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions.
Requirements:
BS in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Chemistry, or related field.
Minimum 7 years of upstream Oil & Gas experience.
At least 5 years in technical sales or account management.
Strong knowledge of production chemistry, flow assurance, and surface facilities.
P&L management experience is required.
Willingness to travel across Egypt.
