🔹 About the Role
Canonical is hiring a Business Services Team Manager to lead a globally impactful operations team responsible for travel management, expense operations, company events, workplace operations, and global health & safety programs.
This role is ideal for experienced professionals with strong leadership, operational coordination, project management, and decision-making capabilities.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
✈️ Travel & Operations
• Manage travel approvals, logistics, and operational coordination
• Ensure expense reviews comply with company policies
• Oversee operational execution for company activities and workflows
🎯 Event & Office Management
• Support planning and operations of major company events held four times annually
• Coordinate venue selection, scheduling, logistics, and safety reviews
• Support company offices used for executive briefings and operations
🛡️ Health & Safety
• Contribute to global duty of care and workplace safety programs
• Ensure policies and operational standards are effectively implemented
👥 Leadership & Accountability
• Lead and support a globally distributed operations team
• Collaborate with leaders across departments and regions
• Maintain operational excellence while managing high work volumes
Job Requirements:
• Strong academic background from university and school
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technical, or related field
• Proven leadership and management experience
• Strong judgment in finance, policy, and operations-related decisions
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work in multicultural global environments
• High accountability, ownership, and organizational skills
• Ability to travel internationally up to four times yearly
