🎯 Role Overview – Teamlead Customs (Giza)

The Teamlead Customs oversees all customs and compliance activities within the Döhler Egypt plant. You will lead a dedicated team, ensure accurate documentation, maintain regulatory compliance, and optimize import/export operations. This role ensures smooth cross-border movement of goods, cost control, and collaboration with government authorities.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate the customs and compliance team (2 Logistics Specialists + 2 Customs staff)

Prepare and submit customs declarations and import/export documentation accurately and on time

Monitor changes in Egyptian customs regulations, HS Codes, and trade laws

Liaise with customs brokers, authorities, NFSA, and Nafeza to ensure smooth clearance

Resolve issues such as tariff classifications, valuation disputes, and documentation discrepancies

Manage customs duties, taxes, and fees to reduce costs

Implement technology solutions to improve customs processes and reporting

Analyze customs data to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements

Ensure goods are cleared within free time to avoid demurrage; take accountability for delays
