🔹 **About the Role:**
Join an early-stage UK analytics startup and help build a scalable data platform for the betting and gaming industry. You'll work closely with the R&D team to optimize Python and SQL code, improve reporting systems, and contribute to platform development in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment.
🔹 **Key Responsibilities:**
✅ Optimize and refactor existing Python and SQL code
✅ Develop Python scripts to improve reporting and automation
✅ Contribute to the core data platform rather than client-specific projects
✅ Take ownership of tasks from planning to delivery
✅ Identify risks, gaps, and opportunities for platform improvements
✅ Collaborate with the UK-based development and R&D teams
Job Requirements:
✔ Strong knowledge of Python programming
✔ Good SQL querying and database skills
✔ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
✔ Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude in daily workflows
✔ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
✔ Comfortable working with analytics projects in the betting/gambling industry
⭐ **Preferred:**
• Experience with Apache Airflow
• Previous startup experience (UK or US companies)
• Experience building projects using AI/LLM tools
