HSBC Egypt is looking for a **HBEG Clearing Cheques Officer** to join its Operations team. If you have a background in Banking or Finance and are looking to build your career with one of the world's leading banks, this opportunity is for you.
### **Key Responsibilities**
✅ Process inward and outward domestic cheques accurately and within cut-off times.
✅ Verify cheque signatures and identify discrepancies.
✅ Return cheques according to local banking regulations and procedures.
✅ Handle settlement payments between HSBC and the Central Bank, as well as internal suspense and transitory accounts.
✅ Maintain accurate transaction records and ensure regulatory compliance.
✅ Identify fraud, irregular transactions, and processing errors while following HSBC procedures.
✅ Analyze payment trends and contribute to process improvements.
Job Requirements:
✔ Bachelor's degree in **Banking, Finance, or a related field**.
✔ Accounting experience is an advantage.
✔ Good command of **English** (written & spoken).
✔ Good knowledge of **Microsoft Office** (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
✔ Willingness to work rotational shifts.
✔ Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
