NowPay is hiring a Senior Accountant to maintain accurate financial records, oversee loan portfolio accounting, support financial reporting, and strengthen internal controls in a remote role.

### 🔎 Key Responsibilities
🔹 Prepare and review journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, payroll, depreciation, amortization, provisions, and intercompany charges.
🔹 Manage month-end and period-end closing, account reconciliations, and general ledger accuracy.
🔹 Support purchase requisition (PR) and purchase order (PO) processes and budget tracking.
🔹 Handle loan portfolio accounting, including loan originations, interest income, fee income, and amortization.
🔹 Reconcile loan sub-ledgers with the general ledger.
🔹 Support the calculation and documentation of Expected Credit Loss (ECL) allowances, charge-offs, and recoveries.
🔹 Prepare financial statements and management reports in accordance with IFRS.
🔹 Perform bank, intercompany, clearing, and suspense account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
🔹 Maintain internal control documentation and recommend improvements.
🔹 Coordinate with internal and external auditors and provide supporting schedules and documentation.
🔹 Identify opportunities to automate reconciliations, streamline closing processes, and improve reporting accuracy.
🔹 Support accounting system implementations, upgrades, and other finance-related initiatives.
Job Requirements:
✅ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
✅ 4–5 years of experience in accounting or finance.
✅ Good knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting, and month-end closing procedures.
✅ Experience in consumer finance is preferred, particularly in loan portfolio accounting and financial reporting.
✅ Strong reconciliation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
✅ Ability to maintain accurate financial records and support internal controls and audits.
⭐ **CMA certification is a plus.**
