Job Description:

🏗️ **Senior Materials Engineer – MEP** 🏢 **Company:** Orascom Construction PLC 📍 **Location:** Maadi, Cairo, Egypt 💼 **Job Type:** Full-Time 🏢 **Work Model:** On-Site Orascom Construction PLC is hiring a **Senior Materials Engineer – MEP** to manage and coordinate project material requirements, ensuring materials are available on time, compliant with project specifications, and aligned with the project schedule and budget. ### 🔹 Key Responsibilities • Prepare and update **Material Histograms** and supplier/subcontractor delivery schedules • Coordinate with **Procurement, Purchasing, Technical Office, and Warehouse** teams • Review material submittals and follow up on technical specifications and consultant approvals • Coordinate with warehouses to verify available stock before placing new orders • Work with Technical Office, **QC & QS** teams to ensure material quality and quantities meet project requirements • Review **BOQs** and identify required materials • Monitor variations in material requirements against the project contract • Compile technical and financial documentation for variation submissions • Coordinate material availability with storekeepers • Track supplier/subcontractor payment logs and follow up with Accounting • Ensure material technical status, compliance, and budget alignment • Issue purchase order requests for suppliers and subcontractors when required • Follow up on material delivery, distribution, production, and arrival dates • Monitor and control material waste • Ensure all materials comply with project specifications • Handle consultant remarks and resolve material quality issues • Prepare reports on required and available materials and maintain material submittal logs • Ensure compliance with company **HSE policies, risk assessments, and environmental requirements**

Job Requirements:

• **B.Sc. in Engineering** • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background required 🚀 **A strong opportunity for experienced MEP Materials Engineers with expertise in construction materials, procurement coordination, material submittals, project requirements, and supplier management.**
