FlapKap is hiring a **Credit Analyst** to join its Cairo team and underwrite SME financing applications for the **UAE market**.
This is a hands-on underwriting role covering **POS Financing, Short-Term Loans, and Invoice Discounting**, with direct exposure to financial analysis, credit risk assessment, and Investment Committee decisions.
### **Key Responsibilities**
📊 Underwrite SME financing applications end-to-end.
🏦 Analyze bank statements, VAT filings, audited financials, management accounts, and receivables/payables aging reports.
🔎 Review and cross-check credit bureau data, bank activity, and facility documentation.
📈 Input verified data into credit models and assign risk ratings.
📑 Verify supporting documents including trade licenses, Ejari, and rental contracts.
💳 Assess debtor quality and invoice authenticity for invoice discounting cases.
⚠️ Identify enhanced-review triggers and potential credit risks.
📝 Prepare credit memos and present recommendations to the Investment Committee.
🤝 Coordinate with the Dubai team on pre-disbursement requirements.
💡 Identify recurring risk patterns and contribute to credit policy improvements.
Job Requirements:
✔ **2–4 years of experience** in SME or commercial credit underwriting within a bank, lender, or fintech.
✔ Hands-on experience spreading and analyzing financial statements.
✔ Strong understanding of **bank statement analysis and cash-flow assessment**.
✔ Strong **Excel** skills and ability to work accurately at high volume.
✔ Excellent written English and strong credit memo writing skills.
✔ Willingness to quickly learn **UAE credit infrastructure, AECB, Ejari, and VAT requirements**.
✔ Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
### **Nice to Have**
⭐ Experience underwriting a market while working from another country.
⭐ Exposure to **receivables finance / invoice discounting**.
⭐ Knowledge of **AI tools and LLM models**.
