### 🔎 About the Role
The **IT Operations Specialist** will monitor and manage **data center infrastructure**, control operational workflows across the bank's systems and services, perform scheduled technology operations, investigate exceptions and support changes using the bank's systems management and operational tools.
### 💻 What You’ll Do
🔹 Manage major incident flows from initiation through resolution, including **notifications and escalations**
🔹 Act as **Incident Manager** with responsibility for the incident management process
🔹 Coordinate required technical resources during incident resolution and make process-based operational decisions
🔹 Manage technology consoles and **job scheduling/automation**
🔹 Execute and monitor scheduled jobs, including manual and process-based activities
🔹 Perform and monitor **backup and restore** operations
🔹 Manage print and electronic outputs and perform required maintenance activities
🔹 Manage the bank's physical IT environment, including **data centers and computer rooms**
🔹 Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to maintain operational continuity
🔹 Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, resource allocation and service delivery
🔹 Improve existing methods of working and resolve operational issues within the assigned area
🔹 Use specialist IT knowledge to develop improved delivery mechanisms
🔹 Build strong relationships across Technology, IT Operations and the wider Operations/COO organization
🔹 Lead **technical operational recovery efforts** when required
Job Requirements:
✔️ Bachelor's degree in **IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Information Systems or a related field**
✔️ **2–5 years of experience in computing systems**
✔️ Experience in **IT Operations / Systems Operations** is highly relevant
✔️ Understanding of incident management and operational processes
✔️ Knowledge of job scheduling, backups/restores and systems monitoring
✔️ Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
✔️ Ability to work effectively during major incidents and operational recovery situations
✔️ Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
✔️ Ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams and external vendors
